Dr. Chang Liu

The Liu’s lab at the Department of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology. Entomology & Plant Pathology in Mississippi State University seeks applications for a fully funded master student in Plant Pathology. The incoming student will conduct research on studying the prevalence and distribution of plant-parasitic nematodes on soybean in Mississippi. Approaches include field survey, greenhouse experiments and molecular diagnosis. The incoming student is also expected to conduct field experiments on integrated management of plant-parasitic nematodes on soybean.
Start Date: Fall 2024 or Spring 2025

Qualifications

B.S. in Plant Science related fields.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Proven ability to work independently and to work in teams.
Ability to conduct independent field work with a valid driver’s license.
