Dr. Nade Liang

Incoming Assistant Professor, Dr. Nade Liang within the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, & Systems Engineering (IMSE) at Texas Tech University (TTU) is looking for two Ph.D. students who want to pursue a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Human Factors and Cognitive Engineering. Dr. Liang conducts various research projects to sense and model human behaviors and create engineering solutions to support performance in human-in-the-loop systems. The doctoral students will work on multiple Human Factors research projects related to automated driving systems, advanced air mobility systems, and human-automation interactions. This position is fully funded, covering tuition and a competitive monthly stipend. An expected start date is September 1, 2024.

Requirements:

  • A recent bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferred) in industrial, transportation, computer engineering, experimental psychology, applied statistics, or other related engineering discipline.
  • Prior experience in Human Factors and Ergonomics research.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
